Scry

Scry is a turn-based tactical roguelike deckbuilder by Wurmhole Games. You play a heretic banished to a twisted prison plane for blasphemy, fighting enemies, elites and bosses through caves, catacombs and a cosmic palace as you build a new deck each run.

In combat you spend Action Points to move and to play cards such as spells, attacks and equipment. Your hero's health carries over between encounters, and passive artefactums and items can tip the odds for or against you.

You enter each battle alone, but along the way you gain ally cards that summon companions onto the battlefield. While active, each ally adds its own cards or passives to your deck, opening up combos with the cards you draft.

The route to the surface is a branching procedural overworld map inspired by classic roguelikes, so you weigh risk against reward and no two escape attempts follow the same path. Each condemned hero starts with a unique deck and tactical identity, supporting multiple deck archetypes.

Hand-crafted pixel art, atmospheric environments, grotesque enemies and hidden traps and curses fill the world beneath. The portal out is somewhere, if you can reach it. A free demo is available on Steam.
